Senior Project Poster: Fathers

Part of a 6 poster series for my Senior Project, the purpose was to highlight positive stories surrounding the hot topic issue of the Refugee situation.

This poster "Fathers" is based off another highly publicized event, that being the meet-up between two fathers and their children, with one pair being of Muslim origin and the other of Jewish origin. The two met for the first time for a protest at the O'Hare International Airport (against the then Executive Order that was under effect and had implemented a ban on travel from a select few Muslim-majority countries). The two fathers and their children had become friends after their meeting, and the photo created from this event quickly became a message of how, despite the differences of faith and the presumption of hatred that such differences may bring, that people can unite to support one another.

No matter your stance on this issue, whether it be one side or the other, extreme or moderate, I believe we can all agree that there's a need for more cooperation, no matter the differences. Even in these volatile times where politics can be splitting, it's important to go past our differences and know that, at the end of the day, we're all human.
